PRE-CHARTER CHECKLIST
The weather can change rapidly in the mountains, and Fontana Lake Charter Boat Service wants all of our guests to be well prepared when they book a charter with us. We have prepared a checklist of items that we feel is essential for guests to bring with them on all of our tours and excursions, no matter what time of the year it is.
Guests are welcome to bring snacks, and soft drinks with them. Alcoholic beverages are also permitted, but drunkenness is not. All alcoholic beverages must be consumed in a plastic cup, or plastic wineglass.
Spiked heeled shoes, clothing with sharp objects, jewelry, or other items that could damage the vessel, inflatable equipment, or harm another guest will not be permitted aboard.
Please do not bring ice chests or coolers aboard the vessel. We provide complimentary ice in our boat cooler, which is large enough to stow your snack items. Please place food items in zip-lock bags. Please keep carry-on bags to a book bag sized backpack for your personal needs. Towels can be hand carried on to save space in your carry-on bag.
Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite CD’s, cassettes, and MP3’s. Captain Dean keeps onboard a personal collection of music CD’s that cater to most music genres, and he would be more than happy to play anything you would like to hear… hmmm within reason.
Save time at the dock by printing out and filling out our Liability Waiver Form in advance.

Other Notes:
Our tours and excursions are not handicap accessible. Access to the boarding area from the parking lot requires walking up and down hill. When the water levels are low, which happens during the off season (September-April), the dock is out of the water, and guests may have to climb a small step-ladder to aboard the Dani Jo. During the regular season (May-August), the Captain can usually board guests from the boat dock.
Secure your gear. Unexpected high winds can quickly send your hat and other items overboard.
Make sure your cell phone is fully charged prior to the tour or excursion. Reception is generally good, though it can be spotty in certain areas where the mountains interfere with the signal.
Permission is granted for our guests to copy and print this information for personal use only.
