About our charters:

Ahoy Mates! Come aboard the “Dani Jo”, our 24’ Luxury Leisure Craft pontoon boat that can make any outing on Fontana Lake an enjoyable experience. Our boat rides accommodate only you and your invited guests, and are private and confidential.

Imagine chartering a private boating excursion on Fontana Lake with a fun-loving Captain who is a licensed U.S.C.G. Merchant Marine Officer. Enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the rustic Smokey Mountains with family, friends, or with that special someone you would like to spend some quality time with.

We are not open to the general public, nor do we rent our equipment out to the general public. Alcoholic beverages are permitted as long as the beverage is in a plastic cup, and the actual container is out of the public eye.

Charter boat excursions are offered year-round, Monday thru Saturday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Charter dates are confirmed only upon advanced payment, and are by reservation only.

What to expect:

Whatever you may wish to do while on the charter is solely up to you and your guests. Typical outing can include just taking a short boat ride to take pictures of our beautiful lake and its surroundings, throwing out a fishing line to try your hand at catching any one of 19 species of fish that inhabit Fontana Lake, swimming in the lakes refreshing waters, or doing a combination of all these things.

Our Captain’s are notoriously fun loving individuals, and we definitely like to fulfill special requests if we can, no matter how zany the idea. So, let us know your wishes, and we will try our best to accommodate you. Here are a few examples of how other guests have utilized our services…

PARTY BARGE - We have many requests by guests to allow celebrations for just about any occasion, and of course, the few occasional wild parties that we can’t go into details about here on the website… We really do like to party here at Fontana Lake Charter Boat Service.

INSTRUCTIONAL CHARTERS - We have been chartered by licensed instructors who have taught swimming, diving, photography, fishing, and boating lessons as part of their hands-on curriculum.

INCENTIVE PROGRAMS - Realty companies give home buyers a gift of a charter when they purchase a home through their company.

Fare Rates:

$55.00 an hour per guest. Ages 18 and up.

$45.00 an hour per guest. Ages 7 to 17.

We offer a 10% discount to senior citizens, students, and active duty military. Drivers License, student identification, or military identification must be presented at time of boarding if a discount was given at the time of booking.

We recommend booking your charter at least two weeks in advance in order to assure that the time and day you wish to charter us is available.
